Integrative Family Medicine

The goal of the Integrative Family Medicine (IFM) program is to develop and implement an accredited model for a four year Family Practice Integrative Training program which combines training in Integrative Medicine with conventional Family Practice residency training. In February of 2004, the Family Practice Residency Review Committee approved this as an experimental program allowing the distribution of the three years of Family Practice training over a four year period to accommodate the integration of Integrative Medicine. This program is currently limited to Family Practice residents in training at the institutions listed below.
Created and sponsored by the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, participating institutions are:
  • Albert Einstein College of Medicine
  • Maine Medical Center
  • Middlesex Hospital Family Practice Residency Program
  • Oregon Health & Science University
  • University of Arizona College of Medicine
  • University of Wisconsin – Madison.
