Corporate Research

In 2002, the Corporate Health Improvement Program (CHIP) was established at the Program in Integrative Medicine. Initially developed by Dr. Kenneth R. Pelletier at the UCSF School of Medicine in 1984, CHIP is a third generation, collaborative research and development program between the University of Arizona College of Medicine and selected Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

CHIP is an important resource for United States and global businesses seeking to adopt new health and medical care programs that will reduce their medical costs and enhance the health and productivity of their employees. For this third generation of CHIP, the focus is on integrative medicine’s clinical and cost effectiveness to corporate America.
