Pediatric Integrative Medicine Elective Rotation
The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes the increasing use of integrative therapies for children and the Center is dedicated to providing reliable information and high quality educational resources to support training in this emerging field.
Our online, 100-hour rotation offers residents and fellows from a range of specialties the opportunity to explore pediatric integrative medicine with a curriculum developed based on the Center's international Pediatric Integrative Medicine in Residency program. This 4-week facilitated elective is offered twice a year and will include 93 hours of online study and 7 total hours of case-based webinar content led each week by Pediatric Integrative Medicine in Residency (PIMR) Director, Hilary McClafferty, MD, FAAP, and other trained national pediatric integrative medicine faculty.
Who is eligible?
This elective rotation will be open to residents in pediatrics, family medicine, and child and adolescent psychiatry, sub-specialty fellows, and pediatric residents not currently enrolled in the Pediatric Integrative Medicine in Residency Program.
Online Elective Completion Requirements
- Completion of all online curriculum
- Participation in 3 webinars
- Active participation in 4 weekly dialogues
- Experiential learning and feedback to group
- Successful completion of final exam with a score of 80%
